Models in Concept Analyst can be sketched with simple building-block commands; inserting notches, filleting sharp corners and moving holes are as simple as a click and drag movement. Traction, force and displacement boundary conditions are applied with the same simple point and click manner and now the model is ready for analysis. |
However higher-precision modelling may be more appropriate. Concept Analyst has a moveable origin for accurate design. For added ease of use many the building block tools allow on-the-fly geometry editing so models can also be built to specific dimensions. Add and remove points from base building blocks to manipulate shapes for versatile geometric designs. Click and drag points, lines or shapes to edit the design, or edit the geometric definitions manually. |
First there is the deformed shape plot that shows at-a-glance displacement results at the touch of a button. Then there are the more detailed contour plots of results available from the results menu. Choose from direct, principal, shear and von Mises stresses and displacements plots. Edit the legend bandwidth to define a contour legend for cross-analysis consistency and ease of comparison. Choose from full colour or print-friendly greyscale and a full spectrum display. See more display options on the Extra features page including improved contour plots for inclusion in the automated report generator. |

Use the XY plot tool to drag along a series of boundary features and plot multiple results on the same axes. Trace the position along the local co-ordinate system and view results at the bottom of the screen, or use the navigation window in the top left. Finally there is the deformed shape displacement plot for at a glance displacements. Like all these result plots, deformed shape plots can be included in the automated report generator. more... |
